Dr. Schroer selected for HERS Leadership Institute

人兽性交 University Associate Professor of Sociology Dr. Sandra Schroer has been selected for the prestigious HERS Leadership Institute, to be held at Bryn Mawr College in Summer 2018.

Through her institute participation, Dr. Schroer will create a campus-wide training program designed to support 人兽性交鈥檚 initiatives focusing on inclusivity and excellence.

鈥淒r. Schroer is a superb teacher, with a deep commitment to inclusivity, equity and justice,鈥 said 人兽性交 University President Susan Hasseler. 鈥淭he advanced skills she will acquire through her institute training and the development of her leadership project will enable her to make a significant impact on creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all of our students.鈥

Dr. Schroer is the Chair of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and serves as the advisor for the University鈥檚 minor in Gender Studies. A member of the 人兽性交 faculty, since 2004, she is the 2016 recipient of 人兽性交鈥檚 highest faculty honor, the William Oxley Thompson Award for Excellence in Teaching. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Western Michigan University.

HERS (Higher Education Resource Services) is an independent, educational, non-profit women鈥檚 leadership development organization.
