Muskie Forensics Earns 2nd Place and 4th Place Honors

Congratulations to ΘΛΚήΠΤ½» University Forensics Team students for their strong showing in two recent tournaments.

Taylor Blakeman ’24 and Alyssa Taylor β€˜23 took home second place honors in the Ohio Forensics Association (OFA) State Novice virtual forensics tournament. Taylor is majoring in Nursing and Alyssa is majoring in Early Childhood and Special Education.

Elizabeth Nease ’21 earned a fourth place finish in persuasive speaking in the virtual interstate β€œ1804” Forensics Tournament hosted by Ohio University.  The β€œ1804” drew nearly 80 participants from institutions across the country.  Elizabeth’s original speech was entitled β€œThe Dangers of Monolingualism in the United States.” She is a Spanish and Theatre major.

The next competition for the Muskie Forensics team is the State Varsity Championship.
