Muskies Receive Accolades

ÈËÊÞÐÔ½» University student-athletes and coaches recently received well-deserved athletic and academic accolades from the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) and from regional and national sports associations, with a number of athletic performances setting new school records.

Archery: Head Coach Craig Holycross was named .  This is the second straight year he has received this prestigious award. Kayd Lacroix ’24 was named to the 2023 Fixed Pins . He is ÈËÊÞÐÔ½»â€™s second All-American archer in program history. Kylee Brookover ’26 placed first in the compound women’s event at the . Kylee and Gracie Pedersen ’25 were both named to the Female All-Region Compound Team. 

Baseball: Weston Melick ’25, Tobie Teke ’25, and Sam Palmieri ’26 received , and Weston was also named an . Weston, along with Liam Carey ’24, Wyatt Reeder ’24, Brock Pfister ’25, and Travis Reynolds ’25 were named to the .

Men’s Basketball: Landen Russell ’25 and Ethan Taylor ’25 were named to the .

Women’s Basketball: The women’s basketball team ended the 2022-2023 season for all NCAA Division III women’s basketball programs with a .789 accuracy.  Their mark also set a new ÈËÊÞÐÔ½» record. Kenzie Bicking ’25, Caitlyn DeMassimo ’25, and Halle Morehead ’25 were named to the . Caitlyn also received accolades and was twice named . The College Sports Communicators named Caitlyn and Halle to the .

Men’s Bowling: The National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) named Andrew Amore ’24 and Connor Collins ’26 . The Ohio Bowling Conference (OBC) named Andrew and Connor along with Logan Karl ’24 and James McConnaughey ’24 to the .

Women’s Bowling: The National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) named Gretchen Cogan ’25, Hannah Crowe ’24, Kaylee Hauck ’25, Kelsey Wilson ’25, and Haleigh Wallace ’26 as . The Ohio Bowling Conference (OBC) named Gretchen, Hannah, Kaylee, Kelsey, and Haleigh, along with Anne Alexsonshk ’25, Emily Medecke ’26, and Hailey Yingst ’25 to the .

Men’s Golf: Cameron Henry ’24 and Nick Congrove ’24 earned at the OAC Men’s Golf Championship. Cameron tied for first place and also set a new ÈËÊÞÐÔ½» program record for season scoring average.

Women’s Golf: Allison Jurkovic ’24 and Katelyn Hines ’26 claimed at the OAC Women’s Golf Championship.

Men’s Indoor Track and Field: Tristan Makowski ’23 finished third in Shot Put at the OAC Indoor Championships, earning . At the All-Ohio meet, Tristan and Noah Mitchell ’26 earned for Shot Put and Triple Jump respectively.

Women’s Indoor Track and Field:  Graduate Senior Macy McAdams captured first place at the OAC Indoor Championships, earning and setting a new school record for the 5,000-meter run. At the All-Ohio Meet, she finished first in the 3,000-meter run and set a new school record, collecting .  She was also named for her first-place finish in the 3,000-meter run at the historic Muskie Meet, the first-ever indoor track and field event hosted on ÈËÊÞÐÔ½»â€™s campus.

Men’s Lacrosse: Trevor Connolly ’24 and Spencer Zecchini ’24 were named to the list. Their achievements mark the first time in program history the Muskies have had two All-OAC selections in the same season. Spencer and Trevor were also named . Spencer holds the ÈËÊÞÐÔ½» program records for all-time career goals, most points in a season, and most goals in a season.

Women’s Lacrosse: Riley Hudock ’25 was named to the . She is the first women’s lacrosse player in the ÈËÊÞÐÔ½»â€™s program history to earn All-OAC accolades in back-to-back seasons. Kyleigh Dahlgren ’26 was named .

Softball: Claire Guilliams ’23 and Haley Hawk ’23 were named to the and Sarah Piteo ’23, Hannah Smith ’23, and Cara Taylor ’26 earned All-OAC Honorable Mention accolades. Claire, Haley, Hannah, Sarah, and Madelyn Thomas ’24 were named to the . Sarah was named an and Madelyn was named an . Hannah was named to the 2023 Tucci/NFCA Division III Player and Pitcher of the Year Watchlist. 

Wrestling: Gavin Greer ’26 was named to the 2023 National Wrestling Coaches Association Division  III team.
