人兽性交 University鈥檚 exciting array of Fall Semester arts events begin in September with a Gallery Exhibit, two professional recitals, and a theatre production.
The art exhibit will be on display at the Louis Palmer Gallery from September 7-27. For her first exhibition at the Palmer Gallery, Interim Gallery Director and Assistant Professor Morgan Rose Free brings together eight Columbus-based emerging artists working with a wide range of concepts and materials. She is also a co-founder and operator of Dream Clinic Project Space in Columbus Ohio, a small gallery that provides exhibition opportunities to emerging contemporary artists from across the United States. Columbus Dreaming presents work by the four other co-founders 鈥� Britny Wainwright, Cory Mahoney, Hannah Parrett, and Miranda Holmes 鈥� along with four Columbus-based artists who have all had solo exhibitions at the Dream Clinic 鈥� Aaron Peters, Akeylah Wellington, Benedict Scheuer, and Emma Kindall. Gallery open hours are 2:00-4:00 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and entrance is free and open to the public.
Associate Professor of Music and Coordinator of Keyboard Studies Harsha Abeyaratne presented a on September 22 in Brown Chapel. The performance celebrated his 20th year of teaching at 人兽性交. The program included Ludwig van Beethoven鈥檚 鈥淎ppassionata鈥� Sonata (1806), Frederic Chopin鈥檚 Ballade No. 1 (1836), and Florence Price鈥檚 Fantasie No. 2 (1932). The event was free and open to the public.
New York-based jazz guitarist and composer Abe Ovadia performs a guest artist on September 28 in Brown Chapel at 7:00 p.m. He has been hailed by Musicvox Guitars as a "jazz virtuoso" and "one of the most innovative guitarists of our time," and was named 鈥淏est Guitarist of 2016鈥� by Hot House Jazz Magazine. The performance is free and open to the public. Following his performance, he will present a masterclass with 人兽性交 music students.
The first year theatre murder mystery production will be performed on September 29 and 30, in Room 300 of Caldwell Hall at 7:00 p.m. Come see what happens when a 1980s music competition goes wrong! are required and will be available beginning in mid-September.
