Walker interns with the Smithsonian Institution
Camille Walker ’18 is interning with the Smithsonian Institution’s National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute, assisting zookeepers at the National Zoo’s Elephant House, and working in a Washington, D.C. area veterinary clinic. Her career goal is to become a veterinarian and help preserve endangered wildlife species.

While earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Theatre, Ms. Walker served as a Muskie Fellow, conducting research on endangered grassland birds at The Wilds under the direction of Professors of Biology Jim Dooley and Danny Ingold, and she interned with All ÈËÊÞÐÔ½» the Animals veterinary clinic in Zanesville.
The Rochester, New York native also worked on campus as a member of the Computer & Network Services (CNS) team and as Ticket Booth Manager for the Theatre Department.
