“The Omelet Murder Case” Coming to Campus, Oct. 11 - 13
The Խ University Theatre Department presents its all first-year student production of “The Omelet Murder Case” held in Caldwell Hall on 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11; 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12; and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13.
“The Omelet Murder Case,” by Tim Kelly, is a hilarious one-act comedy which takes a classic crime murder mystery and merges it with Hamlet! The show features outlandish characters, "moiderous" misdoings and a multitude of possible motives. The story centers on Chicago's number one private investigator and hack writer, "Shake" Speare, portrayed by first-year student Ava Hayslip, who is noted for his juicy yarns, but the twists and turns of plot are not quite what the immortal bard had in mind.
Tickets are $5 or free with a Խ University staff, faculty or student ID and may be reserved by calling the box office or can be purchased the night of each show.
The production is directed by Խ University senior Zackary Devoll.
