The Arts: Student Talents Highlight Fall Semester
人兽性交 University students in majors across the campus are highlighting the Fall 2022 Semester with multiple opportunities to share their talents in theatre productions, musical performances, and the visual arts, and to learn alongside faculty, staff, and regional guest artists.
Theatre Productions
Math Education and Theatre major Ava Hayslip 鈥23 recently performed Deborah Yarchin鈥檚 one-woman show, 鈥淎 Pickle,鈥 directed by English and Theatre major Evie Barnhouse who is graduating in December 2022. In her program notes, Ava reflected on how meaningful it was that their last show at 人兽性交 was able to return to Caldwell 300, where their first show, Fall 2019鈥檚 The Omelet Murder Case, was produced prior to the pandemic.
Other fall productions included the First Year Show Cut! by Ed Monk on September 30-October 1 and The Secret in the Wings by Mary Zimmerman on October 27-29.
The semester鈥檚 final theatre offering is the on Friday, November 18.
Musical Performances
The Homecoming Collage Concert on September 16 featured a variety of vocal and instrumental selections by student ensembles to help celebrate the University鈥檚 100th Homecoming.
On October 20, Associate Professor of Music Harsha Abeyaratne previewed his Carnegie Hall, New York City, recital. The program featured Beethoven鈥檚 鈥淎ppassionata鈥 Sonata as well as works by Granados, Liszt, Chopin, and Debussy. Bravo Dr. Abeyaratne on your October 30 in Weil Recital Hall!

SEOSO, the Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra, kicked off their 2022-2023 concert season in Brown Chapel on October 23, and on November 4, the Wind Ensemble and Concert Choir joined forces to present 鈥淜aleidoscope,鈥 with repertory from diverse backgrounds and musical eras.
Upcoming performances include the on November 10, the on November 17, the on November 20, the on December 1, and the on December 3.
Art Exhibitions
Sculpture students recently displayed their in iconic from October 28-November 1.


The annual Student Competition Exhibition from November 16-December 1 will close out Palmer Gallery鈥檚 fall season, which has featured the 鈥淥hio Women Artists Exhibition鈥 from October 12-November 3, and the 鈥Julia Swan Quilt Show鈥 from September 7-28.
