The theme of #MuskieHomecoming Day 2 was definitely enthusiasm. If you had a chance to walk around campus, then you saw people young and old, past and present, from all over the country soaking in the amazing day. Hundreds of past and present Muskies descended on campus early Friday morning to kick off ÈËÊÞÐÔ½»â€™s weekend long Reunion/Homecoming festivities. Alumni and students took advantage of the perfect fall weather to enjoy campus and attend some of the many planned activities and events throughout the day. After a full day of celebration, Muskies were treated to a concert in Brown Chapel and a late night bonfire on the quad. Highlights included:
Ohio Department of Education Chancellor Randy Gardner made a scheduled stop in New Concord this week to tour campus and to learn more about key institutional initiatives. Chancellor Gardner kicked off the visit with a stop in President Sue Hasseler’s office where they discussed a bit of the University’s history and its impact on the region.
ÈËÊÞÐÔ½» University honored retiring board members Ruth Champlin Hefflin (1994-2019) and Allen E. Loomis (1987-2019) during its Board of Trustees meeting in mid-October. The program of recognition featured opening and closing statements by President Sue Hasseler and a pictorial and musical tribute.
